Welcome Back after a Long Labor Day Respite

Posted by innovativeip on September 8, 2010

Excited to be back at the blog after a few days R&R.  And, I think you will find today’s Patent of the Day to be unique.  U.S. Patent no. 5,804,235 was issued September 8, 1998, and entitled “Edible Toy Figures Constructed of Breakfast Cereal”.

Today's Patent of the Day

The overall product would seem to take on an appearance similar to that of, say, a RICE KRISPY treat, shaped into something.  Difference being, however, that when placed in a bowl and with milk poured onto it, it “disintegrates” into your average every day bowl of cereal.  Although I’ve never come across such a product (yet), as a mother, I can imagine that this could be a great seller.  What little boy wouldn’t want (1) a monster or dinosaur shaped out of cereal, and (2) to watch it disintegrate as the milk is poured on?  Sounds like a fun start to the day.
